Abstract

The Large Hadron Collider at CERN collides protons at 7 TeV center-of-mass energy. ATLAS is a large multipurpose detector sited at one of the interactions points in the LHC beam and is designed to collect the particles produced by the collisions. We expect the data to yield important advances in the field of particle physics.
