Abstract

This dissertation examines the feminicidal violence in Ciudad Juárez as it is represented in three literary works: Roberto Bolaño's 2666 (2004), Marjorie Agosín's Secrets in the Sand: The Young Women of Juárez (2006), and Rhory Benítez's et al. El silencio que la voz de todas quiebra: Mujeres y víctimas de Ciudad Juárez (1999). It seeks to emphasize the role that literature presents in denouncing the feminicides.
