Description
Abstract:
Digital scholarship can be intimidating for students (and faculty) who may feel they don't have enough technical knowledge to know where to begin a project. This pedagogy breakout session will focus on strategies for creating a welcoming digital humanities classroom for students at all technical levels, as well as the opportunities and challenges of teaching DH methods. We will have some discussion of integrating DH teaching into non-technical courses, but the majority of discussion will be focused on teaching technical skills--and the critique, theory, and analysis behind those skills--to humanities students.
